The Second Regional Conference entitled “Women in Caucasus: Politics of War, Peace, and Violence” will be held in Yerevan, on April 14-16, 2014. On April 16th renowned women of Caucasus will be awarded for outstanding contribution in peace and democratic establishment in Caucasus. Call for “Conference Women in Caucasus: Politics of war, peace and violence” 2014

The Second Regional Conference held under general title “Caucasus Our Common Home” will focus on the women’s role in war and peace in the Caucasus. The conference will specifically examine methods of pressure: political, religious, societal used against women during military activities and after and will seek to find solutions. The conference is seen as a forum for bringing concrete experiences women have in the field and developing joint platform for cooperation for peace and protection of women peace-makers. Professionalism vs. Demagogy

Once the professional NGOs are capable and eager to work on the laws, prepare scholarly papers and professional recommendations related to their professional field of interest, the Government should use this resource for social benefit of the entire society. To balance the noise around the issue with professional perspectives and to seek ways to social solidarity, the Democracy Today NGO invited a meeting between interested NGOs, citizen and members of governmental agencies. Training on activism, social media and conflict resolution What can I do if something is wrong in my community? Does my voice matter? What is the use use of knowledge? These are questions that are often asked in communities banded with traditional ties and apathy. Autumn School 2013

Young men and women from rural areas of Armenia were involved in lively discussions about new technologies in promoting peace and democracy. The guest speakers included human rights advocates of Armenia, such as soviet dissident Vardan Harutyunyan, Artak Zeinalyan from the Helsinki Association and Arthur Sakunts from the Helsinki Citizen's Assambley Vanadzor, as well as Art Lab artistic social activism group members. Call for "Young Women's Peace Award in the Caucasus" 2015

“Peace is not absence of war, but the ability to cope with it” This award is aimed at advancing and supporting the emergence of a new generation of peace builders. The aim is to recognize their contributions as well as to support and empower them to feel responsible for their communities and the wider world in which they live. The award will be given to a young woman between the ages of 25-45 or alternatively an organization that invests in peace building in their community.
